"So...Michelle, what exactly is a 'pop-up shop'?"

To shop or not to shop? what a very silly question. -Anonymous

When I started decorating homes, I quickly realized I needed to drive all over Michigan collecting pieces I love. There are great shops in Clarkston, Rochester, and Royal Oak, but my absolute favorite is the Found Cottage on the west side of the state. When I walk into their lovely shop filled with vintage and new pieces, my heart races, my hands get slightly sweaty, and there is definitely a happy dance involved. (Side note-this may not be a normal response to a store-perhaps I have a shopping issue? OR the Found Cottage is just really my jam.)

But, let’s face it I want the Magnolia Market here in Michigan. So I emailed Joanna (okay, maybe it was a very general Magnolia email contact) and asked her to franchise here in Michigan. I mean we have silos right? Well, they were super gracious and absolutely lovely, but said “no.”

So, I thought, I have property and I know the products and manufacturers sold at both stores. I’ll pop-up a Spring and Thyme shop, which combines the Found Cottage and Magnolia Market, right here in Oakland County.

Then the most amazing thing happened, I had coffee with Laura McCullough, of One Small Thing. She is an amazing artist who dreamed of bringing the Found Cottage here to the Detroit area as well. God brought our hearts together and our dream is becoming a reality.

Spring and Thyme Pop- Up Shop will offer my favorite decorating pieces along with vintage and local artisans. We will stage pieces with affordable fun accessories so you can take the whole vignettes home and place it right on your counter! So mark your calendars, grab your girlfriends and come out to the country to pick up unique pieces to make your house your home.

All of these pieces and SO, SO many more are available at the shop!!
